Lunch Breaks

Lunch breaks are usually taken at either 12.30 or 1.30pm, but this will need to be discussed with the manager on that day, as we need to make sure enough staff are working at any one time.

GP's drinks

Each day one of the team makes the GP's teas & coffees. We do this at 10am, these get put in a spare room on that morning. Then we Make them again at 12.30pm. these get put into Dr Malik's room ready for the GP's meeting. There is a rota on the notice board & as a new starter, your name will be added to one of the days you are working. We usually only have to do this once each a week, but are expected to help cover when staff members are off sick or on holiday.

Seating & answering the phones

Each day we have atleast 3 people answering the phones to begin with & one on Prescriptions. 2 of the phones ring continually & the 3rd is used on an 'as & when' basis. The 3rd phone user will usually answer the phone for the first 1 - 2 hours depending how busy the phone lines are, then you will be required to cover the recepeton desk as well as any adhoc admin duties that need to be done. We will show you the seating arrangements when you begin.
